A Love for Iris!...

Since our founding in 2005, Blue J Iris LC has helped countless local customers to start or cultivate their own iris gardens. 
We started in Alliance, Nebraska, on my parents' garden where Leonard & Kathie Jedlicka hybridized 75 new iris breeds, with special interest in Space Agers (flounces and spoons coming off the beards) and eventually producing "pom poms." My 4 kids and I began helping with harvesting for local requests and dabbled in hybridizing for awhile, but then in 2005, expanded our offerings to a wider audience by going online. 

Blue J Iris is a passion project inherited from my parents...I have been a teacher (high school biology) since 1999.
